What You can Expect when You Arrive

Are you considering coming in for an appointment at Journey Clinic? This is what you can expect during your visit. A comfortable, confidential, and friendly environment. Following is a step-by-step description of what an appointment looks like.

Journey Clinic Reception Area

When you come to Journey Clinic for your appointment, you will walk into our calm and relaxing lobby. The chairs are comfortable and the music is soft. Our goal is for you to enter this space and immediately feel at ease.

Receptionist

You will be greeted by one of our receptionists who will explain the intake process. She will get a copy of your picture ID, and answer any questions you have regarding the paperwork.

Patient Advocate

After you’ve completed the intake paperwork, one of our Patient Advocates will take you back to one of our consultation rooms.  Your Advocate will talk with you about your needs. She will then explain how we can provide care and resources that will be helpful to you.

What You Can Expect During Your Appointment

Clinic Nurses

When your Nurse is done preforming your pregnancy test she will come back into the consultation room. You will be given your results. In addition, she will offer other resources that may be helpful for you. We provide our patients who have a positive pregnancy test with a verification letter. This letter can be used to apply for Baby your Baby, Medicaid, or WIC.

One of our licensed Clinic Nurses will join you and your advocate. She will do a health history and assessment with you.  She will ask you questions regarding your health and potential pregnancy. Your nurse is also available to answer any of your questions. She will then take you to get a urine sample for your pregnancy test.

While your test is being performed, you’ll talk with your Advocate back in the consultation room. She is available to help you process your potential pregnancy. She will talk through your options and provide support and resources.
